37 Days Ago...

On October 30th Mr. Spice accepted a job on the other side of the country. On November 30th our plane landed in Greensboro, NC....where we will start over.

37 days ago...I lived in Arizona.
37 days ago....I had no intention or idea of moving....anywhere....anytime.
37 days ago....I was a board member on the school board where my daughter attended.
37 days ago....I was involved in my church and very excited about the upcoming merge with a local church.
37 days ago....I had JUST finished painting and putting up window treatments in our house.
37 days ago....we were on the adoption registry for AZ....eagerly awaiting the placement of our son.
37 days ago...I was surrounded by amazing friends who were more like family.
37 days ago...I could drive 40 minutes and see my parents anytime I wanted.
37 days ago...I had life planned out....every minute...of every day.

Today....I live in North Carolina.
Today....I am living in the present.
Today....I not 100% sure where my daughter will be going to school.
Today....I "think" I know what church I will visit first.
Today....I am eating on paper plates....because I can't find my dishes in the sea of boxes before me.
Today....I KNOW that through God...ALL things are possible.
Today....I can testify that God answers prayers and blesses beyond our wildest dreams.
Today....I miss my friends and family.
Today....I can find the TV's....but not the remotes.....the DVD players....but not the cables.
Today....is a new day!

Well, This Is New...

Our family is off on a new adventure...and so a new blog was in order. Last April, Mr. Spice interviewed for a job with a company and they chose a local guy. THEN...they called back and said that they liked him so much...they created another position for him. So...here we go....off to Greensboro, North Carolina. This is a quick move...as in...the movers come to pack us up one week from today! TODAY! We fly out to NC on November 30th. Two weeks from tomorrow. Quick!

It's going to be tough moving away from great friends and family. Our whole life is here. But...God is calling us to go....and so here we go. I'm placing all my fears and worries about house hunting, school for Asha, a new church, finding friends, etc...in God's Hands...and trusting in His Faithfulness. The natural emotions of moving my family across the country and starting a new life seem overwhelming at times...but God's timing is perfect and with that...I look ahead.

We are leaving our best cat, Mitchell, with Nanny, Boppa and Aunt Shannon. It's for the best....as we are living in a hotel for our first week...and well...a stressed out cat is just not necessary on this journey.

All right. New blog. New adventure. Eventually a new accent. Oh...and hopefully lots of new fun times.
